One of the most common complaints among the rhinoplasty candidates we meet at Pearl-Ereso Plastic Surgery Center is a hump or bump on the bridge (dorsum) of the nose. Many bumps are inherited, but others are the result of a broken nose or other trauma.
Because the nose is such as prominent facial feature, issues with bumps can disrupt the symmetry and proportions of your face; a hump can also throw off your facial profile (i.e., the view from the side). If you have a dorsal bump, you may take great care to avoid being photographed or videoed from the side because you are so self-conscious of your profile. Eventually, a dorsal bump can take a toll on confidence and self-esteem.
Luckily, rhinoplasty or nose reshaping surgery can correct the appearance of a bump and create a more attractive nose and facial profile. Read on as Dr. Alexander Ereso explains what that process involves. Continue reading “What Can Be Done about the Hump on the Bridge of My Nose?” →
